The creative cycle of words...

do you realize when a magician says "abracadabra" he is essentially saying "abarah k dabarah" or "bara dabar" which, in Hebrew means, "creating with a word???"
"now, you see it...now, you don't"
or "now, you don't see it, and now, you do..."
are you beginning to see where this message is going?
if I said "in the beginning" would you be with me?
because in the beginning Elohim (G-d) said "let be" and "there was!"
whatever He spoke/speaks, is/was created!
now, you don't see it...and now, you do!!! bara dabar!
and even on a more positive note...
2 sam.7:24-25; 1 kings 8:25-26; 1 chr. 17:22-23 says Elohim confirms and establishes His Word forever, so not only does He speak it, but he confirms and establishes it and it's forever! that means He accomplishes it; He performs it; and He completes it...
that's His promise to you and I...when he gives us a prophetic word, or a word of wisdom, or a word of knowledge, just like at creation - HE WILL BRING IT TO PASS - HE WILL FINISH WHAT HIS WORD IS TO US!
our job is to wait and hope and trust...

Ps. 119:38 says He makes His Word sure to His servants - His Word to us is trustworthy - He is not a man that He would lie...
Ps. 119:49 says that He remembers His Word to His servants - He never forgets His promises to us!
Ps. 119:89 says His Word for us is settled in heaven! His Word for us is fixed; it's permanent; it can't be altered or changed! sometimes though, when He releases His Word and His promises to us, they have to come through the heavenlies and the adversary runs interference and tries to make us weary in well doing as we wait for YHVH'S promises to be fulfilled in our lives! But we must not give up! we must fight and take possession of the blessings we know He has promised us!
Ps. 138:1-2 says that Elohim has magnified His Word above His Name and when we thank Him with our whole heart; and we sing our praise to Him; and we worship Him in His holy sanctuary; and give thanks to His Name for His mercy and His truth, the Word He magnifies is for our blessing and benefit!
Isa. 43:25 tells us to put Him in remembrance of His Word! He tells us our trespasses are blotted out; He tells us He doesn't remember our sins - He invites us to enter into judgment with Him, through His Son, Messiah Yeshua, and in the end we are justified! we are served the "not guilty" verdict and that is the sum of our salvation through Messiah!
Isa. 55:10-11 assures us the Word, which Elohim speaks goes forth from His mouth - it goes out and does what He sends it out to do and doesn't come back to Him empty or void! bara dabar! It accomplishes; finishes; completes...well, you get the picture!!!and not only does that Word accomplish what it was sent out to do - it also prospers in what it was sent out to do - and that's for our benefit and blessing alone!!! amein vaya amein...
Jer. 1:12 says YHVH watches over His Word to perform it! He watches over His Word to bring it to life; to bring it into fruition for us!
Ez. 12:25 says YHVH will speak, and the Word He speaks shall be done! bara dabar!!!

the bittersweet thing about this message and the power in these scriptures, though, is that just as YHVH'S Word has cyclical and creative power...so do our words...

Mt. 12:35-37 says every word, whatever we speak, we will have to give an account for - and by our words we will be justified or condemned...
James 1:26 says if any of us think we are ministers unto Elohim and we don't restrain our tongues, we deceive ourselves and our ministry is in vain...
James 3:5-11 basically tells us the tongue, which creates and forms our words from our thoughts and our hearts is a little member; it boasts great things; it's a world of fire; it can defile our whole body; it can set on fire the course of our lives; and by it we bless Elohim and those made in His image; and out of it comes blessing and cursing...
Pro. 18:21 says that life and death are in the power of the tongue...
Eccl. 5:2 says we must let our words be few -
and 1 Pet. 3:10 says we must restrain our tongue from speaking evil and our lips from speaking guile...

bara dabar! just as YHVH'S Word has wonderful, creative, cyclical power, so do the words that come out of our mouths...

we must remember, every word that we speak, or every Word that YHVH speaks, has a cycle of completion to fulfill...
words are powerful; words are creative; and words are eternal - and they essentially form a circle...they go out and then they bring back, whether for good or evil; positive or negative...they complete the job they were sent out to complete!
and what is true for YHVH'S Word is true for our words, because we are made in His image and likeness, and when we say what He says, our lives are rich and blessed, but if we gossip or slander or berate others created in His image and likeness, we only bring judgment onto ourselves...

the moral of this message? watch what you say; watch how you say it; and if you don't have anything good or positive to say, say nothing at all!

bara dabar!
