the path of suffering...

Scripture always tells a clear story - and is like a tapestry...
Rav Sha'ul, (apostle paul) was a studied and learned Jew, a Pharisee, from the tribe of Benjamin - he was a student of the great sages and rabbis of that day - and he started out persecuting followers of Messiah...
the following verses show us a pattern of what it is to be called and chosen to follow Y'Hovah, and as you will see, it isn't for the fair in heart, and it isn't easy...
suffering is something we must go through for the sake of Y'Hovah's Name; it precedes being glorified one day in and through Messiah; it is something "granted" to us by Abba; it is a clear token of Y'Hovah's justice and judgment and precedes us being counted worthy of His Kingdom...
please read on and decide for yourself the path of suffering...

Act 9:15 And the Master Y'HOVAH said to him, Go, for this one is a chosen vessel to Me, to bear My name before nations and kings and the sons of Israel.
Act 9:16 For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of My Name...

Rom 8:17 And if children, also heirs; truly heirs of Y'HOVAH, and joint heirs of Messiah, if indeed we suffer together, that we may also be glorified together...

Php 1:27 Only behave yourself worthily of the good news of Messiah, so that whether coming and seeing you or whether I am far away, I may hear of your good conduct, that you stand fast in one spirit and one soul, triumphing together in the faith of the good news,
Php 1:28 and not being terrified in anything by our adversaries, whose conduct is the sign of their own destruction, but to your salvation, and this from Y'HOVAH;
Php 1:29 because it was granted to you on behalf of Messiah not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer on His behalf...

2Th 1:3 Brothers, we are bound to give thanks to Y'HOVAH always concerning you, even as it is right, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each one of you multiplies toward one another,
2Th 1:4 so as for us to boast ourselves in you in the Congregations of Y'HOVAH for your patience and faith in all your persecutions, and the afflictions which you endure,
2Th 1:5 a clear token of the just judgment of Y'HOVAH, for you to be counted worthy of the kingdom of Y'HOVAH, for which you indeed suffer;
2Th 1:6 since it is a just thing with Y'HOVAH to pay back tribulation to those oppressing you,
2Th 1:7 and to give you, those being oppressed, relief with us at the revelation of the Master Y'Shua from Heaven with the host of His cherubs,
2Th 1:8 in flaming fire giving full vengeance to those not knowing Y'HOVAH, and to those not obeying the good news of our Master Y'Shua Messiah, (Isa. 66:15; Jer. 10:25)
2Th 1:9 For these at the judgment day will be recompensed with eternal destruction, from the presence of our Master, and from the glory of his power; (Isa. 2:19)...

2Ti 1:7 For Y'HOVAH did not give a spirit of cowardice to us, but of power and of love and of good discipline.
2Ti 1:8 Then do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Master, nor of me, His prisoner. But suffer hardship with the good news, according to the power of Y'HOVAH,
2Ti 1:9 the One having saved us and having called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace given to us in Messiah Y'Shua before the world began,
2Ti 1:10 but now revealed through the appearance of our Savior, Y'Shua Messiah, indeed making death of no effect, bringing life and immortality to light through the good news,
2Ti 1:11 for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and a teacher of nations.
2Ti 1:12 For which cause I also suffer these things. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard my deposit until that Day.
2Ti 1:13 Let this example of sound words which you heard from me abide in you, in faith and love in Messiah Y'Shua.
2Ti 1:14 Guard the good Deposit given through the Holy Spirit indwelling in us.

2Ti 2:3 Then you suffer hardship as a good soldier of Y'Shua Messiah...

2Ti 4:5 But you be clear-minded in all, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill your ministry...

Jas 5:13 Does anyone suffer ill among you? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him praise in song...

1Pe 3:8 And, finally, let all live in harmony, that ye be sympathetic with them who suffer, and affectionate one to another, and be merciful and kind...

1Pe 3:14 But if you truly suffer because of righteousness sake, you are blessed. "and be not afraid of those who terrify you, neither be disturbed...

1Pe 3:17 For it is better, if it is the will of Y'HOVAH, to suffer for doing good deeds rather than for doing evil...

1Pe 4:19 Wherefore, let them who suffer according to the will of Y'HOVAH, commit their souls to him in well doing, as to a faithful Creator...

H2470
חלה châlâh khaw-law' properly to be rubbed or worn; hence (figuratively) to be weak, sick, afflicted; or (causatively) to grieve, make sick; also to stroke (in flattering), entreat: - beseech, (be) diseased, (put to) grief, be grieved, (be) grievous, infirmity, intreat, lay to, put to pain, X pray, make prayer, be (fall, make) sick, sore, be sorry, make suit (X supplication), woman in travail, be (become) weak, be wounded.

Are we fighting the Tov (good) fight of Emunah? Faith?

Rom 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If Y'HOVAH be for us, who can be against us?
Rom 8:32 Truly He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up on behalf of us all, how will He not freely give all things to us with Him?
Rom 8:33 Who will bring any charge against the elect of Y'HOVAH? Y'HOVAH is the One justifying!
Rom 8:34 Who is he condemning? It is Messiah who has died, but rather also is raised, who also is at the right hand of Y'HOVAH, who also makes intercession on our behalf.
Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Messiah? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
Rom 8:36 Even as it has been written, "For Your sake we are killed all the day; we are counted as lambs for the slaughter." (Psa. 44:22)

Rom 8:37 But in ALL THESE THINGS WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM LOVING US!

Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor cherubs, nor rulers, nor armies, nor things present, nor things to come,
Rom 8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other thing created will be able to separate us from the love of Y'HOVAH in Messiah, Y'Shua, our Master.

so let's look at these verses like this -because (these are the things:)

round #1  US  vs.  Tribulation...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #2  US  vs.  Distress...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #3  US  vs.  Persecution...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #4  US  vs.  Famine...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #5  US  vs.  Nakedness...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #6  US  vs.  Danger...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #7  US  vs.  Sword...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #8  US  vs.  Death...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #9  US  vs.  Life...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #10  US  vs. Cherubs...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #11  US  vs. Rulers...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #12  US  vs. Armies...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #13  US  vs. Things present...conqueror? us in Y'Shua!

round #14  US  vs. Things to come...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #15  US  vs. Height...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #16  US  vs. Depth...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

round #17  US  vs. Any other created thing...conqueror?  us in Y'Shua!

which brings us to the truth in this verse of scripture:

Php 4:13 I can do all things through Messiah; the One giving me strength!!!

(Revelation 2:26)  And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations...

(Revelation 3:5)  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels...

(Revelation 3:12)  Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my Elohim, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my Elohim, and the name of the city of my Elohim, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my Elohim: and I will write upon him my new name...

(Revelation 3:21)  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne...

(Revelation 21:7)  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his Elohim, and he shall be my son...

the journey

Pro 2:1 My son, (ben=son, daughter) if you will receive my words (My Torah), and shall protect my commandments (mitzvot) with you,
Pro 2:2 so that you attend to wisdom (chochmah), you shall extend your heart (lev) to understanding (binah).
Pro 2:3 For if you cry for discernment (ya'da), lifting up your voice for understanding;
Pro 2:4 if you seek her as silver (keseph), and search for her as hidden treasures (matmone),
Pro 2:5 then you shall understand the fear (yir'ah) of YAHWEH and find knowledge (da'at) of Elohim.
Pro 2:6 For YAHWEH gives (nathan) wisdom; out of His mouth are knowledge and understanding.
Pro 2:7 He lays up sound wisdom (tushiyah) for the upright (tzaddik); He is a shield (megan) to the ones who walk in integrity, (tom)
Pro 2:8 to guard (natsar) the paths (orach) of judgment (mishpat), and He protects (shomer) the way (derech) of His saints (Chassid).
Pro 2:9 Then you shall understand (biyn) righteousness (tzedek) and judgment (mishpat) and honesty, (meyshar) and every good (tov) path...(magal)

The call to teach His Word has not been one without cost...

(Jas 3:1 My brothers (ach and achi = brothers and sisters) do not be many teachers, but know that we will receive a greater judgment.
Jas 3:2 For we all stumble in many ways. If any one does not stumble in word, this one is a mature man (am = people), also able to subdue the whole body...)

Considering most every author Y'Hovah chose to speak through in writing Scripture, is Jewish, it always seemed appropriate to study the Word of Y'Hovah in His language...
(remember - Scripture was written in Hebrew and Aramaic, then translated into Greek, Latin, German and finally, English...)

Not to mention -

Zep 3:9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of YHVH, to serve him with one consent...

We will all call on Y'Hovah One day, in One consent, in His pure language - Hebrew...

So, I did some research on a portion of Scripture that seems to divide the Body of Messiah more than it should...

Here you go - reader decide...

from a Hebraic viewpoint:

1Co 11:1 Be imitators of me, as I am also of Messiah.
1Co 11:2 But I praise you, brothers, that in all things you have remembered me, and even as I delivered them to you, you hold fast the doctrines (Jewish Torah).
1Co 11:3 But I want you to know that Messiah is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and YAHWEH is the head of Messiah...

Rav Sha'ul starts this verse out as an imitator of Messiah and tells his audience to "BE IMITATORS OF him as He is of MESSIAH" and the audience is men and women of Corinth...(Historically, Corinth was a city of gods and trade in Greece...)

He goes on to describe relationship - Yeshua to man, man to woman, and Y'Hovah to Yeshua...
So as you can see, Y'Hovah covers Yeshua, covers man, covers woman, a picture of like being all snuggled up in a blanket...
or Y'Hovah is around Yeshua, Yeshua is around man and man is around woman...
Then when you study the Hebraic definitions of "head" cited as references to "head" in Greek, you see fascinating revelation!

H4763 head...
מראשׁה mera'ăshâh mer-ah-ash-aw' Formed like H4761; properly a headpiece, that is, (plural for adverb) at (or as) the head rest (or pillow): - bolster, head, pillow. Compare H4772...
H6936 head...
קדקד qodqôd kod-kode' From H6915; the crown of the head (as the part most bowed): - crown (of the head), pate, scalp, top of the head...
H7161 head...
קרן qeren keh'-ren From H7160; a horn (like a shofar) (as projecting); by implication a flask, cornet; by resemblance an elephant’s tooth (that is, ivory), a corner (of the altar), a peak (of a mountain), a ray (of light); figuratively power: -  X hill, horn...
H7218 head...
ראשׁ rô'sh roshe From an unused root apparently meaning to shake; the head (as most easily shaken), whether literally or figuratively (in many applications, of place, time, rank, etc.): - band, beginning, captain, chapiter, chief (-est place, man, things), company, end, X every [man], excellent, first, forefront, ([be-]) head, height, (on) high (-est part, [priest]), X lead, X poor, principal, ruler, sum, top...

So...Accordingly...and Hebraically...
Yeshua is the headpiece, the head rest and pillow; the crown as the most bowed part; the horn like a shofar and a ray of light; and the beginning and at the forefront of man...
while man is the headpiece, the head rest and pillow; the crown as the most bowed part; the horn like a shofar and a ray of light; and the beginning and at the forefront of woman...
while Y'Hovah is the Headpiece, the Head Rest and the Pillow; The Crown as the most bowed part; the Horn like a Shofar and Ray of Light; and the Beginning and at the Forefront of Yeshua...
(isn't it interesting that man and woman are sandwiched between Y'hovah and Yeshua...)

Which takes us to:
Gen 1:26 And Elohim said, let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creepers creeping on the earth.
Gen 1:27 And Elohim created the man in His own image; in the image of Elohim He created him. He created them male and female.
Gen 1:28 And Elohim blessed them; and Elohim said to them, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the seas, and over birds of the heavens, and over all beasts creeping on the earth...(all requirements of both male/female)

So...I am a firm believer that man is made in the "image" of Elohim while woman is made in the "likeness" of Elohim, and if we want to be holy "as He is holy" and pure "as He is pure", then we need to study and apply the following Scriptures a little bit better...

Eph 4:11 And indeed He has assigned some to be apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some shepherds and teachers;
Eph 4:12 for #1 the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, #2 for the building up of the body of Messiah,
Eph 4:13 until we all may come to the unity of the faith and of the full knowledge of the Son of Elohim, to a full-grown man (am=people), to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Messiah,
Eph 4:14 so that we may no longer be children, being blown and carried about by every wind of false doctrine of men, who through their craftiness are very skillful in deceiving the people;
Eph 4:15 but speaking the truth in love, we may grow up into Him in all things, who is the Head, the Messiah,
Eph 4:16 it is through Him that the whole body is closely framed together and united at all joints, according to the gift that is imparted by measure to each member, for the #3 guidance and #4 control of the body; in order to #5 complete the edifying of the body in love...

bottom line? we ALL need each other to fulfill the mission and mandate of His Word!

where are you???

feeling like flowing free style...
when Y'Hovah created creation, He started with animals, Adam, Chava, and a garden (actually a paradise) in complete and equal partnership...
He walked with them and talked with them, and gave them every tree in the garden for food, except one...
when He made 7 days in the week, He gave them all, yet asked for one to be honored above all else, in return...
after He fashioned the sun and the moon for times and seasons, He gave them all, yet asked for one time a month at the new moon, and then 7 other seasons, to be set apart and revered, throughout the year, in LIGHT of HIM, and the foreshadowing of HIM becoming flesh and dwelling among men one day...
when He gave 12 hours in the Day and 12 hours in the night, He gave them all, yet asked for a tithe of our time each day...
and when He gave us silver and gold, He gave us all, yet again, asked for a tithe of our treasure...
He also gives us gifts - all of them, yet only asks that we honor HIM in return, by allowing Him access to them for His will and purpose...
He gave us 613 commandments in the first covenant and close to 1400 in the second covenant, but only asked that we keep and honor 10 of them...then when He came as Yeshua, He broke it down even farther, and asked that we only keep two...
and back to the animals - He created every land and sea creature, and every insect, bird and reptile imaginable, and gave them all to us, yet only asks us to partake of certain ones...and avoid others at all costs...
He also inspired and authored 66 books of the Holy Bible, and only asks us to study to show ourselves approved, servants and workers rightly dividing His Word of Truth through the power of His Ruach Hakodesh (His Spirit)...
then He goes on to say, many are called but few are chosen...He uses flesh and spirit, sheep and goats, 10 virgins, and two thieves on a cross (among many, many others) to shine His Light on what category we fit into...
mathematically - our Father in Heaven gives us all things, yet asks very little of us in return...
i happen to believe we are in the end of days, and time is running out...not only should we be doing a daily, monthly and yearly inventory, but we should also be growing wiser, stronger and deeper in HIM!

without ceasing...

Rom 1:9 For Elohim is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the Good News of His Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you,

2Ti 1:3 I thank Elohim, whom I serve with a clear conscience, as my forefathers did, as I unceasingly remember you in my prayers night and day,

Act 12:5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the assembly unto YHVH for him.

1Th 1:3 Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Master Yeshua the Messiah, in the sight of YHVH and our Father;

1Th 2:13 For this cause also thank we YHVH without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of YHVH which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of YHVH, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

1Th 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

2Ti 1:3 I thank YHVH, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

Lam 3:49 "My eyes will flow without ceasing, without respite,

Psa 35:27 Let those who delight in my justification shout and rejoice; and they shall say without ceasing, The Lord be magnified, delighting in the peace of His servant.

Psa 71:14 But I will hope without ceasing, and I will add more in all Your praise.

Isa 21:8 And he cried, A lion! My lord, without ceasing, I stand on the watchtower by day, and I am stationed at my post all the nights.

Psa 77:2 On the day of my distress I am seeking Adonai; my hands are lifted up; my tears flow all night without ceasing; my heart refuses comfort.

"short" on walking in agreement...

Ecc 4:12 And if one overthrows him,TWO shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly torn apart.
Amo 3:3 Will TWO walk together except they are AGREED?
Mat 18:19 Again I say to you, If TWO of you AGREE on earth as to anything, whatever they shall ask, IT SHALL BE to them from My Father in Heaven.
Mat 18:20 For where TWO or three are ASSEMBLED (in agreement) together in My name, there I am also among them...
mêyshâr may-shawr' (AGREE, AGREEMENT)
EVENNESS; CONCORD; STRAIGHTNESS - (GOING FROM POINT A TO POINT B TOGETHER); EQUAL/EQUALITY; UPRIGHT; RECTITUDE - MORALLY CORRECT BEHAVIOR AND THINKING; RIGHTEOUSNESS;
EQUITY - THE QUALITY OF BEING FAIR OR IMPARTIAL...
ever wonder if two can even walk in agreement these days?
defeating the enemy, answer to prayer, His Presence - these are all the result of two being in agreement...not the signs...

The "ifs and thens" of fasting and Shabbat...

Isa 58:5 “Is it a fast that I have chosen, a day for a man to afflict his being? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, and to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Do you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to יהוה?

Isa 58:6 “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to loosen the tight cords of wrongness, to undo the bands of the yoke, to exempt the oppressed, and to break off every yoke?

Isa 58:7 “Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; when you see the naked, and cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh?

Isa 58:8 “Then your light would break forth like the morning, your healing spring forth speedily. And your righteousness shall go before you, the esteem of יהוה would be your rear guard. (KJV says your "RE-REWARD" meaning something taken away would be given back! HalleluYAH!)

Isa 58:9 “Then, when you call, יהוה would answer; when you cry, He would say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and the speaking of unrighteousness,

Isa 58:10 if you extend your being to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted being, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness be as noon.

Isa 58:11 “Then יהוה would guide you continually, and satisfy your being in drought, and strengthen your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

Isa 58:12 “And those from among you shall build the old waste places. You shall raise up the foundations of many generations. And you would be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.

Isa 58:13 If you do turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day, and shall call the Sabbath ‘a delight,’ the set-apart day of יהוה ‘esteemed,’ and shall esteem it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,

Isa 58:14 then you shall delight yourself in יהוה. And I shall cause you to ride on the heights of the earth, and feed you with the inheritance of Yaaqoḇ your father. For the mouth of יהוה has spoken!”
