Standing before YHWH one day with Yeshua at our side - (and for the record, one of the many words found in "side" is "die-s" - yes, we all need to meditate on that for a moment...)
So as we are dead in Messiah, literally and physically, and we stand before the Almighty G-d - the El Gibbor, the El Shaddai , we can only pray Yeshua will tell His Father - "this one's with me" - and our Father will say to each of us, "well done, good and faithful "servant", enter into your rest..."
For today's blog, though, the topic isn't on being a servant - prior to that teaching, which He will eventually put on here - Adonai is requiring us to learn something about being His disciple - His "talmudim" - His "limmud" first..
There's a beautiful biblical model for being a follower of Messiah Yeshua - His student, His pupil, one who wants to learn and walk in His ways, according to His Word...
(and as I stated in an earlier blog, folks just seem to want to do, do, do for HIM and not really invest the time and relationship in knowing HIM, and there's going to come a day for the sheep and goats, He is going to say to those He considers goats- "get away from Me because I never knew you" and personally, I don't want that to happen to anyone, especially me!
So I am going to trust those of you reading this blog will personally look up each scripture reference - make your own notes and assessments and then apply them to your own ministry and walk with Messiah...
The following is a list of requirements, based on scripture, that all of us need to learn in being His disciple. Remember, too, as you read, that He is more concerned with how you love and obey Him than He is with "all you do" for Him and He is definitely more into what you become than what you are about!!! Please take that to heart directly from HIM!!!
Disciples...Talmudim...Limmud...Followers of Messiah -
1. They are not above their Teacher - it is enough that they be like and perfectly trained to be like their Teacher -Mt. 10:24,25; Lk.6:40
2. They do not love their father, mother, spouse, children, brothers, sisters and their own life more than they love Yeshua - Lk.14:26
3. They must bear their own cross and come after Yeshua - which in my estimation says - He's first in all things and I'm second...not the other way around...just imagine what your life would be like if Yeshua was the first thing on your mind...your heart...your soul...your spirit...your life...your lips...your thoughts...He is #1 and you and I come after that - HIM...Lk. 14:27
4. They forsake all that they have - Lk.14:33 (ouch!)
5. They follow Yeshua - John 18:15
6. They run with other talmudim - John 20:4
7. They see and believe - John 20:8
8. They testify, they write and they share Yeshua and all that He does for them - John 21:24
9. They are women and they are full of good works and charitable deeds - Acts 9:36 (sorry fellas...the position isn't just for you...and hey! G-d said it - not me!!!)
10. They keep Torah - Is. 8:16
11. They wait for and wait onYeshua to show them the way - Mt. 5:1
12. They go where Yeshua goes - Mt. 8:23
13. They move when Yeshua moves - Mt. 9:19
14. They are called; they have power over unclean spirits; they have power to cast them out; they have power to heal all kinds of sickness and disease - Mt. 10:1
15.They feed the sheep: bread = the old covenant; fish = the new covenant; bread = the jews; fish = the gentiles - Mt. 14:19
16. They take up their crosses, they deny themselves and follow hard after Yeshua - more insight into HIM 1st, you and me 2nd - Mt. 16:24
17. They do as Yeshua commands them! - Mt. 21:6
18. They do as Yeshua directs them! - Mt. 26:19
19. They pray and stay awake - Mt. 26:40
So, in conclusion...when we flippantly say we are disciples of Messiah...we are in essence saying, biblically, we are all of these things!!!
I'm sure, like me...we all still have alot of growing and maturing to do! The bottom line, too, is found in the 1st Letter of John - if we're going to say we are like Christ, like Messiah Yeshua, then we better be walking like Him, talking like Him, living like Him, giving like Him, loving like Him, praying like Him, teaching like Him, preaching like Him, serving like Him, ministering like Him...you get the picture! message from Adonai...
Was driving in the car today, coming back from the doctor's office and talking to the L-rd about my earthly dad and mom...Don't believe there was ever a time in life they didn't meet all of my needs and most of my wants, I suppose...so was asking Elohim why it is so difficult for me to see Him as an even greater Father than the one He gave me for 36 years here on earth - only had mom for 18 years and vice versa...
and as were communing, I just felt impressed how grieved He is in His heart over the church today...the congregation...the kehillot...HIS BODY ultimately...
we are a made up mess of humanity supposedly crucified so His divinity can shine forth from within each of us and I don't know about you, but He said to me today too many of us strive and struggle to do so much for HIM yet know HIM so little...
We seem to forget we were created for Him and His pleasure, not the other way around, and we breathe and have life and purpose because of something He wants to accomplish through us for His glory and it's never about what I want or think, but always and foremost about fulfilling His perfect will...
He went on to let me know there's no leadership positions available in Heaven either for those of us who are down here striving...
He is G-d, Yeshua is His Son, the Ruach Hakodesh - His Holy Spirit - they are all there on the throne and there are 12 sons of Israel and 12 apostles surrounding the throne and of course, all of the angels - His messengers of fire He calls "servants"...yes...all there...and there's just no more room for anyone else in those positions!
He even warned us in His Word that those who wanted to be the greatest in the Kingdom would be the least and that the last would be first and the first would be last - and then Yeshua qualified and told His followers if any of us want to be great in the Father's eyes, be a servant - Michelle's translation...
So...when G-d used my folks to create me = I became the end result and product of their love for one another and since my DNA is made up of both of them, it's easy to live up to their legacy and heritage by being their child. Even though they are both no longer here on earth, they are here through me...
But the bigger picture is I am G-d's child, too...So are you...We are all children of G-d, bought and paid for with the price of Messiah Yeshua's blood and sacrifice and let's just stop and think about something here...we are all Elohim's sons and daughters...the earth and the fulness thereof belong to WHOM??? Yes...Elohim...the silver and the gold belong to WHOM??? Yes again...Elohim!!! and the cattle on the thousand hills belong to WHOM??? Right again...Elohim!!! I am not my own...you are not your own...
So strive this day to know HIM! Strive this day to bring HIM glory, honor and pleasure! Strive this day to please HIM and fulfill His will for you in this present moment!
Seek Him first while He may be found...seek His Kingdom and HIs righteousness and "a few things" will be added unto you??? NO!!! ALL THINGS will be added unto you!
Crawl by faith??? NO!!!! Walk by faith; walk according to the Spirit within you and NOT according to the flesh!!!
Eat all you can at the buffet??? NO!!! Buffet your body - your flesh so that you may offer yourself up as a pleasing sacrifice!!!
Trip over your cross every day and make excuses for it??? NO! take up your cross every day and follow HARD after Yeshua!!!
Work out your salvation with confidence and pride??? NO!!! Work out your salvation with reverential fear for Messiah and trembling in the Hands and Presence of an Almighty, Powerful G-d!!!
Skip in the race??? NO!!! Run the race to win the prize and the high calling of Messiah!!!
Compliment your Heavenly Father??? NO! Shout unto HIM with the voice of triumph! Praise Him with thanksgiving - thank Him for every good and perfect gift that comes down from heaven!

random thoughts
shalom! since i haven't written anything in awhile, i decided to go through some of the awesome teachings Adonai has given me and begin to put them into order so i can record them here in my blog...
a teacher always wants to teach what her Father has shown and given her, but sometimes the platform is unseen or unrecognized or worse...not provided...
so for the next few weeks, i will be sharing parts of my heart here with those of you in cyberspace who care to view the thoughts and revelations i receive from on HIGH...
i will also be praying for Yeshua's guidance and blessing - that my words ultimately be HIS and my thoughts supremely be HIS and will look forward to the shower of blessing that will overwhelm and overtake the reader!
until the pen flows again through the heart of G-d...

MORE ON ELUL
there are 22 letters that make up the hebrew aleph-beit (alphabet) and isn't that an interesting fact in itself, because those 22 letters complete the hebrew language!!! or as YHWH calls it, HIS pure language that one day in glory, we may all speak! He IS an awesome G-d and i pray He help us all learn to speak HIS language, amein? or in another words...speak HIS truth...in season and out...help us, Papa, help us...
so back to ELUL = EL of course means G-d, period, but the hebrew letters also are word pictures.
yes, that's right - each letter of the hebrew aleph-beit forms a picture, which sheds light on G-d's Word being "like a hammer that shatters a rock!"
in the physical, when you break a rock it scatters and shatters into smaller pieces, same as looking at the meaning of a word in hebrew. every word has a meaning, but then, every syllable has a meaning whether it be 1 syllable 2, 3, 4 so on and so forth...BUT!!!! each letter, in each syllable, in each word, forms a picture and that's a pretty amazing way to search G-d's Word "as for hidden treasure!"
the hebrew aleph-beit also forms acrostics in many places in the Scriptures, too - like the word ELUL is also an acrostic and is found in the Song of Solomon, chapter 6, verse 3.
in hebrew, it translates "Ani l'dodi v'dodi lee" = or the aleph-lamed-vav-lamed (same as ELUL), and that means "I am to my Beloved and my Beloved is to me."
so again, in this season of ELUL, it is imperative we search our hearts and draw nearer to YHWH through Messiah Yeshua and do "teshuva" (repentance) by turning back from the things that draw us away from HIM and turning to HIM drawing nearer and nearer.
if i am His Beloved and He is mine, that means we are intimate, we are sequestered into the Holy of holies and not one thing or one person can or should be wooing us away from the Presence of His Glory in our union and communion with the King of Kings and L-rd of L-rds, amein?
and just for the record, if the body of Messiah is not individually in union and communion withYeshua, the head of the "Kehillot" - the congregation, there will be no unity, just as Psalm 33 says...the oil of the anointing flows down the head of the Priest and Aharon was a picture of our Priestly Messiah...
anointing flows from the head as the Head is in communion and union with us, too, individually and only then does it pour itself out on the body corporately, so especially in the season of ELUL, make sure you are in right relations with Yeshua and with others and if that means asking 1,000 people for forgiveness, by all means, ask in these next few weeks before we come into the High Holy days starting with Rosh Hashanna - the jewish new year!
jews all over the world take this season very seriously as they seek G-d and His Kingdom and His righteousness! they reflect upon their lives, their mistakes, their short comings - they enjoy the sweetness of honey and apples which are bibical pictures of G-d's goodness and His sweetness in our lives and more importantly, this is the season they look to the eastern sky for the appearing of Messiah!
as a jew who already believes in Messiah, i am looking to the eastern sky for His Glorious coming and return, knowing perhaps, as we blow the shofar heralding the new year, we are also heralding Yeshua to come!!!

elul
on the hebrew calendar, today begins the month of elul - the time for repentance, the time for reflection, the time for making things in and around your life right and it is also the time for forgiveness...and it all begins with us individually, then corporately.
so begin to take some time to really examine your mind, your body, your soul and your spirit - the bible is very clear - a human being is made up of body, soul and spirit - 3/3 = and while 2/3 of us are wonderfully and fearfully made...1/3 of us can get us into a whole heap of trouble!
the bible also is very clear we have a natural nature, a carnal nature, an earthly nature and a divine or spiritual nature which takes mathematics a bit farther...4/4 = and while 1/4 of us is fearfully and wonderfully made, 3/4 of us can also get into us into a whole other heap of trouble!
and while the fruit of the Spirit is a progression - love comes first, then joy second, peace third, patience fourth, kindness fifth, goodness sixth, meekness seventh, faithfulness eighth and self-control ninth...it begins with love and ends with self-control and that's how you let the L-rd handle how HE made us!!!
we have to stay within the lines and boundaries of love and self control and if by chance, we do color outside of the lines, the month of elul is the 30 day period to re-flect, re-make, re-create, re-fashion, re-form, re-pair, re-new, re-store, re-pent and re-turn to our original state and design as children of the Most High
G-d = El Elyon; to the Soverign Creator = Elohim, to our Master = Adonai and to our Savior and Re-Deemer = Yeshua HaMashiach, the L-rd Jesus Christ!
Be rightly re-lated to Him in this season, this "moadim", or set, appointed time and get righly re-lated with yourself and everyone in your sphere of influence, amein? amein vaya amein!

Psalm 15
Preached a message in Indiana out of Psalm 15. Titled it "I will not be shaken, I will not be moved." It was an anointed service because that's what G-d does when HIS WORD is being preached and taught.
There's several things WE have to do though, in order for our lives not to be shaken or moved in these crazy end times we are in!
Get your bible out and take a look with me at the progession...if we want to sojourn in YHWH'S tent and we want to live on HIS Holy Mountain...we need to #1 walk in perfect innocence, or in other terms, walk blamelessly, where not one soul on earth can point a finger to you and say...you did this or you said that, or worse, you didn't do this or you didn't do that...ouch!!!
#2 speak the TRUTH from your heart...what is truth? His WORD, of course...not saying or doing anything contrary to HIS WORD, either!!!
#3 you don't slander, gossip, talk or speak evil of any person walking on this earth with you! In Jewish culture and society, that's called "lashon hora" and if you speak one negative word about another human being created in the image and likeness of YHWH, it negates and wipes out every mitzvot (kind deed) you've done your whole life!!! i know...ouch again, but hey! I didn't say this - G-D did!!!
#4 you've not done any evil thing to your family, friend, neighbor, co-worker or stranger...evil meaning mischievous, treacherous or wicked!!! simply put...knowing the right thing to do and choosing not to do it just out of sheer meanness! (there's a whole lot of shakin' goin' on now, right???)
#5 don't cause any disgrace to a fellow human being...don't embarass someone made in HIS image...don't discredit or humiliate anyone in your sphere of influence, anyone in your life in life's parameters...
#6 look at vile, contemptible and despicable people NOT with judgment or criticism - but with a look like your mom when you were doing something she didn't approve of!!!
my mom had the look, let me tell you, and if I kept doing what she disapproved of, my behind was hers and hers alone!!! so develop that look and let folks know when they're dying and going to hell in a hand basket because of the sin they choose to wallow in day after day - that you love them and will pray for them, but you will NEVER approve of the lifestyle they live in or the choices they make every day that reflect the standard of the world and not the standard of our Heavenly Father!
#7 Honor those who trust and fear YHWH with a reverential fear - honor those among you who love Adonai with ALL their heart, ALL their soul, ALL their strength and ALL their might ad LOVE their neighbors as themselves!!!
#8 honor those who give and keep on giving without expecting anything in return...
#9 honor those who don't take bribes against the innocent! meaning, don't sell anyone out at any cost and don't sell anyone up the river for anything or anyone! love covers...
9 steps...
9 fruit of the Spirit that walks and moves contrary to the flesh- love, joy, peace, patient, kindness, goodness, meekness, faithfulness and self-control as a good commentary parallel!!!

Shalom one and all - this is my first attempt at blogging...be patient with the effort because I'm not so sure how this will flow...if I knew what everyone was interested in reading, it would be a cinch, I'm sure! If it's scripture teaching you're interested, send me some suggestions via e-mail or facebook, ok? If it's other topical subjects, hey, let me know and I'll give it my best! when I let myself think about the word "blog" it makes me think about keeping a daily log about the blah, blah, blah of my life and day and I really want to make this something more meaningful than that, so as I pray and seek the L-rd, I am confident I have the pen of a skilled writer and He will have many things to say through me and those will be the most read and the best entries, amein? so off I go to pray and seek my G-d...until He speaks...signing off for now...Miss Foss
