MORE ON ELUL

there are 22 letters that make up the hebrew aleph-beit (alphabet) and isn't that an interesting fact in itself, because those 22 letters complete the hebrew language!!! or as YHWH calls it, HIS pure language that one day in glory, we may all speak! He IS an awesome G-d and i pray He help us all learn to speak HIS language, amein? or in another words...speak HIS truth...in season and out...help us, Papa, help us...
so back to ELUL = EL of course means G-d, period, but the hebrew letters also are word pictures.
yes, that's right - each letter of the hebrew aleph-beit forms a picture, which sheds light on G-d's Word being "like a hammer that shatters a rock!"
in the physical, when you break a rock it scatters and shatters into smaller pieces, same as looking at the meaning of a word in hebrew. every word has a meaning, but then, every syllable has a meaning whether it be 1 syllable 2, 3, 4 so on and so forth...BUT!!!! each letter, in each syllable, in each word, forms a picture and that's a pretty amazing way to search G-d's Word "as for hidden treasure!"
the hebrew aleph-beit also forms acrostics in many places in the Scriptures, too - like the word ELUL is also an acrostic and is found in the Song of Solomon, chapter 6, verse 3. 
in hebrew, it translates "Ani l'dodi v'dodi lee" = or the aleph-lamed-vav-lamed (same as ELUL), and that means "I am to my Beloved and my Beloved is to me."
so again, in this season of ELUL, it is imperative we search our hearts and draw nearer to YHWH through Messiah Yeshua and do "teshuva" (repentance) by turning back from the things that draw us away from HIM and turning to HIM drawing nearer and nearer.
if i am His Beloved and He is mine, that means we are intimate, we are sequestered into the Holy of holies and not one thing or one person can or should be wooing us away from the Presence of His Glory in our union and communion with the King of Kings and L-rd of L-rds, amein?
and just for the record, if the body of Messiah is not individually in union and communion withYeshua, the head of the "Kehillot" - the congregation, there will be no unity, just as Psalm 33 says...the oil of the anointing flows down the head of the Priest and Aharon was a picture of our Priestly Messiah...
anointing flows from the head as the Head is in communion and union with us, too, individually and only then does it pour itself out on the body corporately, so especially in the season of ELUL, make sure you are in right relations with Yeshua and with others and if that means asking 1,000 people for forgiveness, by all means, ask in these next few weeks before we come into the High Holy days starting with Rosh Hashanna - the jewish new year!
jews all over the world take this season very seriously as they seek G-d and His Kingdom and His righteousness! they reflect upon their lives, their mistakes, their short comings - they enjoy the sweetness of honey and apples which are bibical pictures of G-d's goodness and His sweetness in our lives and more importantly, this is the season they look to the eastern sky for the appearing of Messiah!
as a jew who already believes in Messiah, i am looking to the eastern sky for His Glorious coming and return, knowing perhaps, as we blow the shofar heralding the new year, we are also heralding Yeshua to come!!!
