A PSALM, A SONG, OR BOTH...

THE FOLLOWING 6 PSALMS ARE NOT ONLY "PSALMS" - THEY ARE ALSO SET APART AS "SONGS..."
AND SOMETIMES, WE JUST NEED TO ASK OURSELVES WHAT THAT MEANS...AND IN DOING SO, WE FIND THE ANSWER IN THE SONG/PSALM ITSELF...
NOT TO MENTION, WE LOOK AT THE ETYMOLOGY OF THE HEBREW WORD FOR "PSALM AND SONG" AND SEE HOW THE WORDS INTERPLAY AND CONNECT...

Psa 30:1 [A Psalm; a Song of Dedication of the House of David.]
I will exalt You, O YAHWEH; for You have lifted me up and have not allowed my foes to rejoice over me...

Psa 48:1 [A Song, A Psalm for the Sons of Korah.]
Great is YAHWEH, and exceedingly to be praised in the city of our Elohim, His holy mountain...

Psa 65:1 [To the chief musician. A Psalm and Song of David.]
To You silence is praise, O Elohim, in Zion; and to You is a vow paid...

Psa 67:1 [To the chief musician, for stringed instruments. A Psalm. A song.]
May Elohim be merciful to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us. Selah...

Psa 68:1 [To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. A Song.]
Elohim rises up and His enemies are scattered; and those who hate Him flee from His face...

Psa 92:1 [A Psalm, A Song for the Sabbath Day.]
It is good to give thanks to YAHWEH, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High...

שׁוּר shûr shoor A primitive root; properly to turn, that is, travel about (as a harlot or a merchant): - go, sing. See also H7891.
^

שׁוּר shûr shoor A primitive root (rather identical with H7788 through the idea of going round for inspection); to spy out, that is, (generally) survey, (for evil) lurk for, (for good) care for: - behold, lay wait, look, observe, perceive, regard, see.
