1Co 14:1 Follow after love, and desire spiritual
gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
1Co
14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto
Elohim: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh
mysteries.
1Co
14:3 But he that prophesieth speaketh
unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
1Co
14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the assembly.
**a prophet speaks unto humanity to edify, exhort and comfort
- and prophesy also edifies the body...
1Th
5:12 And we beseech you, brethren, to
know them which labour among you, and are
over you in YHVH, and admonish you;
1Th
5:13 And to esteem them very highly in
love for their work's sake. And be
at peace among yourselves.
1Th
5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn
them that are unruly, comfort the
feebleminded, support the weak, be
patient toward all men.
**those who labor among you (in the Word) admonish you,
they warn the unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak and are
patient towards all...
2Ti
4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
2Ti
4:3 For the time will come when they
will not endure sound doctrine; but after
their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti
4:4 And they shall turn away their ears
from the truth, and shall be turned
unto fables.
2Ti
4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
** those who are called and anointed to preach the Word
reprove, rebuke, exhort with longsuffering and doctrine; they are ever watching
in all things, they endure afflictions, they do the work of an evangelist and
make full proof of the ministry!
2Ti 3:16 All
scripture is given by inspiration of YHVH, and is profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man
of YHVH may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all
good works...
** those who speak
and teach the Word...there is profit in doctrine, reproof, correction, and
instruction in righteousness - with the goal of perfecting us, to thoroughly
furnished good works!
