Job 5:17 "Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. sometimes happiness comes at a small cost...if we allow G-d to chasten us a bit when we need it the most...happiness will be the reward!

Pro 3:13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding; the fear of Adonai is the BEGINNING of wisdom - it starts with HIM and ends with HIM...and quite actually, He is everything in between! psalm 138 says He has exalted HIS WORD above HIS NAME, so perhaps He did that in order for us to do the same...when's the last time we spent time in HIS WORD??? we'll be happy when we do!
Pro 28:14 Happy is the man who is always reverent, But he who hardens his heart will fall into calamity. this scripture is pretty clear...if we revere our AVI, your heavenly Father, we will be happy! but if we harden our hearts, we will find ourselves in the midst of calamity and chaos...that's an amazing measuring rod..
Psa 146:5 Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the Lord his God, help and hope...if G-d is our Helper, then we are assured of happiness and hope...
Pro 14:21 He who despises his neighbor sins; But he who has mercy on the poor, happy is he. wow...we can't despise our neighbors and we must have mercy on the poor - the end reward??? happiness!
Pro 16:20 He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he. is anyone out there glad i don't make any of this up??? let's see...if we heed the Word wisely, we will find good!!! and if we put our trust in Adonai, who is the Only One worthy of our trust, we will be happy!
Pro 29:18 Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law, the Torah. so another key to happiness is keeping the Torah...reading it, studying it...learning it...sharing it...
Rom 14:22 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. this scripture requires a little thought...we are to have our faith before G-d and we are to be happy with everything that we approve of in our lives...if we put that into perspective of what we watch on tv, what we listen to on the radio, how we treat people in general, how we live our daily lives, etc...it sheds new light on happiness. it's a choice every day to please self or please Adonai, but if any of us lack in happiness, it might be a good thing to reflect on the things that we approve of that G-d doesn't approve of...
Deu 33:29 Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, The shield of your help And the sword of your majesty! Your enemies shall submit to you, And playou shall tread down their high places." when we think about it...the scripture is very clear - there were jews and there were gentiles...of course, there were people of many nations, too - the amorities, hittites, all the tites...etc...the seed of abraham, isaac and jacob - and the seed of others...but the bottom line is - we are all grafted in through Messiah Yahshua, to make one new man...
when we realize we are part of Israel...happiness again, is the end result! we are saved by Adonai - He is our Shield and our Sword and because of HIM, our enemies submit to us and are tread down! wow!
1Ki 10:8 Happy are your men and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom! so...when we stand continually before HIM and hear His Word and His wisdom, what do we find ourselves reveling in??? HAPPINESS!!!
2Ch 9:7 Happy are your men and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom! it bears repeating...two times makes it a witness!
Psa 128:2 When you eat the labor of your hands, You shall be happy, and it shall be well with you. well...a man or woman who works hard will be happy and it will be well with you!
Psa 144:15 Happy are the people who are in such a state; Happy are the people whose God is the Lord. happiness is for those of us who have G-d as our L-rd - Yahshua as our Savior, the Holy Spirit - the Ruach Hakodesh as our Teacher and Comforter...and the Word of G-d as our perpetual guide...
Pro 3:18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her. the wisdom of G-d and happiness go hand in hand...when we retain and maintain relationship with both, we are the ones happy!!!
