The Sabbath

Exo 20:8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. remember it! set it apart! #1


Exo 20:11 “For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore יהוה blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart. rest in it, set it apart like YHVH! #2

Exo 31:13 “And you, speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘My Sabbaths you are to guard, by all means, for it is a sign1 between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I, יהוה, am setting you apart. guard it! #1

Exo 31:14 ‘And you shall guard the Sabbath, for it is set-apart to you. guard it! #2

Exo 31:15 ‘Six days work is done, and on the seventh is a Sabbath of rest, set-apart to יהוה. a day of rest to set apart! #3

Exo 31:16 ‘And the children of Yisra’ĕl shall guard the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant. guard it! #3 - observe it forever!

Exo 35:2 “Work is done for six days, but on the seventh day it shall be set-apart to you, a Sabbath of rest to יהוה.. set it apart! #4

Lev 19:3 ‘Each one of you should fear his mother and his father, and guard My Sabbaths. I am יהוה your Elohim. guard it! #4

Lev 19:30 ‘Guard My Sabbaths and reverence My set-apart place. I am יהוה. guard it! #5

Lev 23:3 ‘Six days work is done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, a set-apart gathering. You do no work, it is a Sabbath to יהוה in all your dwellings. it's a day or rest to be set apart! #5


Lev 26:2 ‘Guard My Sabbaths and reverence My set-apart place. I am יהוה.  guard it! #6

Deu 5:12 ‘Guard the Sabbath day, to set it apart, as יהוה your Elohim commanded you. guard it! #7 set it apart! #6

Deu 5:15 ‘And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Mitsrayim, and that יהוה your Elohim brought you out from there by a strong hand and by an outstretched arm. Therefore יהוה your Elohim commanded you to observe the Sabbath day. observe it!

Isa 56:4 For thus said יהוה, “To the eunuchs who guard My Sabbaths, and have chosen what pleases Me, and hold fast to My covenant:  guarding it pleases HIM! #8

Isa 56:6 “Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to יהוה, to serve Him, and to love the Name of יהוה, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and hold fast to My covenant – guard it! #9 don't prafane it!

Isa 58:13 “If you do turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day, and shall call the Sabbath ‘a delight,’ the set-apart day of יהוה ‘esteemed,’ and shall esteem it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words, don't turn your back on it; don't do what you please on it; call it a delight and a set apart day #7; esteem it; don't live for yourself!

Isa 66:23 “And it shall be that from New Moon to New Moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before Me,” declares יהוה.  worship HIM!

Eze 20:12 “And I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, to know that I am יהוה who sets them apart. it's a sign between us and G-d! community...

Eze 20:20 ‘And set apart My Sabbaths, and they shall be a sign between Me and you, to know that I am יהוה your Elohim.’ Sabbath is a sign between G-d and me!!! just me and HIM! or you and HIM!!!

These are scriptures taken from the Tanach...obviously the Sabbath is to be guarded and set apart because of how many times G-d stresses it!
Then we are commnaded to observe it; remember it; rest in it; not profane it; not do what we please on it or turn our backs on it; we are to worship the L-RD G-D ALMIGHTY on it; we are to delight in it; we are to recognize that it is one of the signs of HIs covenant with us - corporately and individually...
yes, my beloved, the Sabbath is still a covenant to be recognized and honored throughout ALL generations!!!
