Abominations...

(Leviticus 11:10)  And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
(Leviticus 11:11)  They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
(Leviticus 11:12)  Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.
(Leviticus 11:13)  And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,

(Leviticus 11:20)  All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you.
(Leviticus 11:23)  But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.

(Leviticus 11:41)  And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten.
(Leviticus 11:42)  Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.

(Leviticus 18:22)  Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
(Leviticus 20:13)  If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

(Deuteronomy 7:25)  The graven images of their elohim shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to YHVH thy Elohim.
(Deuteronomy 7:26)  Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.

(Deuteronomy 12:31)  Thou shalt not do so unto YHVH thy Elohim: for every abomination to YHVH, which he hateth, have they done unto their elohim; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their Elohim.

(Deuteronomy 17:1)  Thou shalt not sacrifice unto YHVH thy Elohim any bullock, or sheep, wherein is blemish, or any evilfavouredness: for that is an abomination unto YHVH thy Elohim.

(Deuteronomy 22:5)  The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman?s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto YHVH thy Elohim

(Deuteronomy 23:18)  Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of YHVH thy Elohim for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto YHVH thy Elohim.

(Deuteronomy 24:4)  Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before YHVH: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which YHVH thy Elohim giveth thee for an inheritance.

(Deuteronomy 25:16)  For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto YHVH thy Elohim.

(Deuteronomy 27:15)  Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto YHVH, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, so be it.

(Proverbs 3:32)  For the froward is abomination to YHVH: but his secret is with the righteous.

(Proverbs 6:16)  These six things doth YHVH hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
Pro 6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Pro 6:18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
Pro 6:19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

(Proverbs 8:7)  For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

(Proverbs 11:1)  A false balance is abomination to YHVH: but a just weight is his delight.

(Proverbs 11:20)  They that are of a froward heart are abomination to YHVH: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

(Proverbs 12:22)  Lying lips are abomination to YHVH: but they that deal truly are his delight

(Proverbs 15:8)  The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to YHVH: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
(Proverbs 15:9)  The way of the wicked is an abomination unto YHVH: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.

(Proverbs 15:26)  The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to YHVH: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.

(Proverbs 16:5)  Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to YHVH: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

(Proverbs 17:15)  He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to YHVH.

(Proverbs 20:10)  Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to YHVH

(Proverbs 20:23)  Divers weights are an abomination unto YHVH; and a false balance is not good.

(Proverbs 21:27)  The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?

(Proverbs 24:9)  The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.

(Proverbs 28:9)  He that turneth away his ear from hearing the Torah, even his prayer shall be abomination.

(Proverbs 29:27)  An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

(Isaiah 1:13)  Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

(Luke 16:15)  And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but YHVH knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of YHVH.

(Revelation 21:27)  And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lambs book of life.

H8441 tô‛êbah  tô‛êbah to-ay-baw', to-ay-baw' Feminine active participle of H8581; properly something disgusting (morally), that is, (as noun) an abhorrence; especially idolatry or (concretely) an idol: - abominable (custom, thing), abomination.

sometimes we need to be reminded of the less pleasant things of scripture...
recently a brother called me "his favorite Torah teacher", yet if I was the kind of teacher who kept track of attendance, I would say he's absent a lot more than he's ever present, and scripture says "lying lips" are an abomination unto YHVH...
so we must keep watch, and stay on guard, and not let words of flattery disguised as abomination to take us from our gift, our calling or our post...
